Areas of Clinical Expertise

Mr Hayden can assist Counsel and the Court with instructions on cases of medical negligence and personal injury in the field of General Surgery, Specialist Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery and Emergency Gastrointestinal Surgery. Areas of specialist expertise include laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery for Hernias, Gallstones and Reflux disease (fundoplication), Bariatric (weight loss) Surgery – Gastric Band, Sleeve Gastrectomy and Roux en y Gastric Bypass.

Also Mr Hayden has considerable experience in major Oesophageal (gullet) and Gastric (stomach) cancer surgery and is able to assist with these cases.

Written Evidence

Mr Hayden has been trained by Bond Solon Advocates in Expert Report Writing, Courtroom Skills and Cross Examination. He is familiar with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules and Woolf reforms and will produce a compliant report within 6 weeks of receipt of full instructions and the necessary documents/case-notes.
